Even though this is a very funny quote from Family Guy, “You know what really grinds my gears?” –a lot lately. Things have been going really well, are on the up…and I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes being a marketer, I make myself test, test, and test again. It might be analyzing the crap out of an email campaign, deciding to move this widget here or there and test it for conversion, and rewriting content for a site. I sometimes grind my own gears on how much of a perfectionist I try to be.
I realized that back in June I was writing so much about celebrating. This is a celebration of sorts. I have grown a lot and learned a hell of a lot about myself in the past few months. I am looking forward to that September 1st date with a big red circle around the date, even though I actually haven’t done that yet on my calendar
let’s think of it as the day of celebration….a defining day. I can’t wait to shout from the rooftops what that day means. Until then, unfortunately I have to stay mum. You’ll find out soon enough why. Let’s just say things have gotten out of control, but somehow throughout the mess….it is actually a good thing. More on that later.
You know what also grinds my gears? Men. I’m probably going to get a lot of slack for that, but so be it. I’m going to be blunt. Men can be so oblivious sometimes. Not just to women, but just getting the damn message. To not go any further with my foot in my mouth, we’ll leave it at that.
This is fun, I sound like Peter Griffin. You know what really grinds my gears? Corporate America. Enough said.
Sometimes life hands you lemons, and you make lemonade. I’m making strawberry lemonade. The most delicious and innovative kind
