It begins. Another night when I wake up earlier and earlier. This time, it’s 3:23 in the morning and I start to slowly awaken. I hear rain drops pounding outside, the usual for a Florida summer. This time, instead of raining at 3pm in the afternoon, it wakes me up in the morning.
Thoughts race through my head on all the things I need to do. Gotta finish that load of laundry in the dryer. Search for flights for a well-deserved vacation, one that I haven’t taken in years. Eventually buy a new mattress, but the El Dorado furniture advertisement for memory foam mattresses is quite enticing. If you need a mattress and are in the South Florida area, let me know. I’d be glad to sell you the ‘made with love’ mattress that has served me well for the past four years. I have a bad back and it’s too firm, as the mattress I previously bought is still fairly new. I digress.
My thoughts about work and the South Florida WordPress Group http://meetup.com/sf-Wordpress-users have become more frequent. Someone might be talking to me, I will politely smile and nod, but I’m not in the conversation. I’m daydreaming. Believing that one day my dreams will become a reality.
Ever since I moved to Florida in 2004, it has been a struggle. I didn’t have approval from my mother to move here, nor did I need it. I moved for me. I branched off to grow. I sure did mature, maybe a little too quickly, working through college and not actually getting the “college experience” all the time.
I graduated in the fall of 2008, at the height of the down economy. I pretty much floated my way to where I am today, with tenacity and hard work. I lay here on my couch, thinking now is the time. I am going to Chase that Happy. I’m working my way towards my dream, which I can feel is a hop, skip, and a jump away. I’m helping someone achieve their dream in the process. My efforts can be very rewarding, and it’s up to me to create that destiny.
I’m Speaking My Possibility into the world. I’m letting you and all the world know, my dream is within reaching distance. Join me on this scary yet liberating ride. All will be revealed in a matter of blinks!!
